Welcome to our genealogy page! We are glad that you found us and are taking the time to visit. You will find here some of the results of our many years of research. Of course we try to research any and all of our lines, but there are a few areas that we specialize in. One of these areas is the Cheyenne Nation and that data base has over 8,000 members. We are also active in researching the descendants of Jacob SORTORE who came to this country some time in the 1720's and so far have found over 8,000 descendants.

Surnames of particular interest to us:

ALBOTT----------This is a very rare surname that we have had a great difficulty in tracing. We would like to hear from anyone who might have any information on any ALBOTT. Our earliest ALBOTT is a John R. ALBOTT who was married to a Caroline or Betty WINN. They had a son William Safford ALBOTT who was born 4 March 1856 in Parkersburg, VA now WV and who died 12 March 1927 in KS.
BRUCE----------Timothy's BRUCE line left Scotland some time around 1720 and settled in Barbados. There they operated a number of sugar plantations. They came to the United States in 1806, first settling in CT. Above you will find a GEDCOM that you can download which will have this line. Some associated surnames we would like more information on include; FRENCH, ADAMS, and WALROND.
COOK----------Earliest individual we have is Benjamin Augustus Cook who was born in NC some time around 1825. The family moved to KS in 1884.
LONGCORE----------We are trying to find the parents of Mary LONGCORE who was born 11 March 1791 in NJ and who died 27 August 1850 in MI. She married Jonathan SORTORE on 4 March 1807.
SALYERS----------Timothy descends from the Virgina SALYER(S) family through Samantha Florence SALYERS who was the daughter of James SALYERS and Margaret DEAN. James left Virginia to join the Union Army, serving with Company K of the 40th Mounted Kentucky Infantry. Other surnames besides DEAN associated with this line include LARKIN and BURTON
THORNBURG----------We are searching for the ancestors of Daniel E. THORNBURG of Washington County, Tennessee. It is believed his father was from North Carolina and his mother from Tennessee. His wife was a Saraphina SHIPLEY and any information on her is also wanted.
