Sugar Baby: Sugar was raised as a bum. You could not of asked for a better
disposition in a cow. Sugar was with us for 9yrs.
Missy: Missy was a Reg. Gelbvieh who was a one of a kind calf. Missy would be
mad if she did not get a good scratch whenever she saw you. She was a very
trusting dear friend who's life was cut too short at 7 months.
Shortie: Shortie was a Reg. Gelbvieh. Shortie was with us until she was 13yrs
old.
Lady: Lady was Wende's first Reg. Gelbvieh and first beef project in 4-H. If we
needed to bring in a cow by herself all we had to do was go out and slap a halter
on Lady to help bring her in. Lady was with us until she was 14yrs old.
Chealse: Chealse was Wende's first miniature horse. She was a daughter of Iowa's
Little Kernel. Chealse was 18yrs old when we had to have her put down. Chealse was
very proud of her last foal, Dreamer as he went on to win Grand Champion honors as
a weanling at his first show competing against older horses and he even placed in
the AMHR All Stars for weanling stallion 30" & under!

here at Hay Creek Ranch and are no longer with us.

Dogs:
Baby: Baby loved people from day one. She was with us for 16yrs. Her line lives
on in her remaining daughter, Anna and grandkids. Baby was a black baldy.
Blackbird: Blackbird was with us for a short time, but boy did she leave an
impression. She would never crawl through the fence to get that "greener" grass on
the other side. However, she always let you know if there was a broken wire as she
would be out on that "greener" side! Blackbird was a Reg. Angus.

Peg's daughters: All of Peg's daughters were special. They were: Gem, Sue,
Lucy, Eve, Meg, and Lilly.
Nosie: Nosie was a very "cute" Gelbvieh bull when he was little. He went to the
local fair as a calf and took Grand Champion bull! He also helped his dam win the
Reserve Grand Champion Breeding female!
Red Rocket: Rocky was a Reg. Texas Longhorn. She was a trusting friend and was
with us until she was 17yrs old.
Smart Ass: Smarty was a one of a kind rooster. He loved to "fix" vehicles if the
hood was up. He also loved to go for a swing and take a nap while he was swinging.
If a chicken ever lives to be a senior citizen, Smarty was it. We figure he must
have been around 15yrs old when he passed on.
Peg: Peg was Wende's first cow. Peg did not like her owner until her last year at
Hay Creek Ranch. She was here until her 13th year. Peg's line lived on through her
daughters and is now continuing on through her grandkids, etc.
Justin: Justin was a Reg. Morgan. He was one of a kind and always giving his
all. A very dear loving friend to Judy for nearly 31 of his 32 years.
Tootsie: Miss Tootsie III was one very special girl. Tootsie was definitely one
of the family. She loved fudge bars, lobster, and her "daddy", Battista. Tootsie
was the "boss" of the house. She was a Lhasa Apso.
Falena: Falena was a mule deer doe who chose us for her friends. Our neighbors
raised Falena, but she chose us to live with.
Sue: Sue was with us for a very short time of 7 months. She was a true lady. Sue
was with us long enough to give us a special part of her through her daughter,
Rebecca Sue. Sue was a Sheltie.
Boots' Constance (Polish), Boomer (Satin), Carl (Netherland Dwarf),
Ebony's Dream (Havana), Gil's Buddy (Polish), Megan (Holland Lop),

WNDE Classical Blues (AFL), and WNDE Montana Rose (AFL).
Girl: Girl was Wende's first ewe. She was a bum who became a beloved friend. She
was also Wende's first show critter at the local fair. Girl was a very tough old
girl who refused to die. She was no ordinary sheep. If she would have been
ordinary, she would not have been around for as long as she was. Girl survived two
incidents where she could of given up on life. Instead she fought it out and
survived, where other sheep would have died.
Tom T, Henrietta, & Harriet: Tommy, Henrietta, & Harriet were a trio of
turkeys (red) we raised that were far from being dumb. All three of them were
characters in themselves. They were also a part of Wende's 4-H project for a
couple of years.
Buddy: Buddy was Wende's first market steer. He was a White Park cross steer who
placed last live, but placed up there in carcass with a select plus grade.

Danny: Danny was another of Wende's market steers. Danny was a Limousin x Dairy
cross. He placed 25th live and 1st in carcass!!
Gizmo: Gizmo was Wende's last market steer. Gizmo was a Gelbvieh x Dairy cross
with a tad Angus x Longhorn in him. He was a cute cream colored steer with a star,
white tipped tail, and two hind socks. Gizmo placed 13th live and 4th in carcass!!
Autumn: Autumn was a Reg. Paint. Autumn was with us for 13yrs until she had a
freak accident of some kind and broke her shoulder. Autumn loved to be scratched
in a very itchy hard to reach area.
