General Samuel Barwick II was the son of Samuel Barwick I and (?) Gibbs.2 General Samuel Barwick II was born circa 1669 at Barbados. He married Frances Adams, daughter of Conrad Adams and Elizabeth Browne.2 General Samuel Barwick II died on 1 January 1733.       A highlight of Samuel's was in 1731 when he became President of the Council & Commander in Chief of Barbados, a position he maintained until his death. Buried beneath a marble slab in the center of St. James Chruch, Holetown, Barbados Inscription: 'To point out the dust of Samuel Barwick who in the 63rd year of his age died Comander in Chief of his native country Jan. 1st 1732 William his eldest son here placest this stone beneath which the ashes of Samuel the youngest son reunites in common mas with those of his father.' He was a Sugar Planter.

Samuel Barwick I was the son of Christopher Barwick and Sarah Blake. Samuel Barwick I was born circa 1619. He married (?) Gibbs circa 1668.1,2 Samuel Barwick I died circa 3 January 1674.2       Samuel was a Colonel in the British army & migrated to Barbados shortly before 1762. He established a sugar plantation in St James Parish. He was later a representative of the planters in the Barbados assembly & was the Deputy Govenor of Barbados during which time he served as Acting Govenor for fifteen months. He was a Sugar Planter. He left a will on 18 September 1673 BARWICK, Samuel 18 Sep 1673, RB6/9, p.85 Cousin Nicholas Blake; son Samuel Barwick- Xtr; my wf & Col. Nathaniel Walrond was the son of Anthony Walrond and Ann West. Nathaniel Walrond was born on 17 April 1732 at St. Michael's Parish, Barbados. He was born on 7 April 1732 at St. Michael, Barbados.1 He was christened on 20 April 1732 at St. Michael, Barbados, Mr. Nathaniel Brandon, Mr. Jas: Pemberton, Godfathers, Mrs. Jane Adamson widow, Mrs. Eliza: Adamson, Godmothers.1 He married Amabel Harris, daughter of Benjamin Harris and Elizabeth Croome, on 31 May 1752 at St. Michael's Parish, Barbados. Nathaniel Walrond died in October 1798 at St. Michael's Parish, Barbados, at age 66.

Amabel Harris was the daughter of Benjamin Harris and Elizabeth Croome. Amabel Harris was born on 11 September 1733 at St. Michael, Barbados.1 She was christened on 25 December 1733 at St. Michael, Barbados.1 She married Nathaniel Walrond, son of Anthony Walrond and Ann West, on 31 May 1752 at St. Michael's Parish, Barbados. Amabel Harris died in May 1789 at Barbados, at age 55.2      She was also known as Mabel Harris.1 Her married name was Walrond.

Joseph French Sr. died at Barbados. He was buried at Quaker Burial Grounds, Barbados.       Joseph was Treasurer of Antigua in 1706, was the King's Escheator, & was elected to the assembly in July 1711, & was a Captain in the Corps of Carbineers. His plantation in Antigua was called Pope's Head. He later moved to Spendlove plantation in Barbados. He was a Quaker & was buried in the Quaker cemetary in St. Michael's Parish, Barbados. His will was dated 10 August 1740 & proved 8 August 1741.

Reverend Alexander Bruce was the son of Robert Bruce and Agnes Murray.1 Reverend Alexander Bruce was baptized on 13 June 1637 at Clackmannan, Clackmannan, Scotland.2 He married Margaret Cleland, daughter of James Cleland and Isabel Kennedy, circa 1677.1 Reverend Alexander Bruce married Margaret Cleland, daughter of James Cleland and Isabel Kennedy, on 17 April 1677 at Edinburgh Parish, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.3 Reverend Alexander Bruce died on 16 April 1704 at Veincash, Armagh Co, Ireland, at age 66 There is a memorial stone for Alexander & his son James at the Church of Castle Craig.2      He was educated on 26 May 1657 at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Scotland, received his MA. Received manor & lands of Garlet from his father in charter dated 11 Jun 1668. This manor was located on land that became an industrial park in 20th century & was demolished in 1968. On 11 June 1668. He was ordained on 24 July 1690 a Presbyterian minister. His first church was in Kirkurd Scotland & later served in Ireland.

Margaret Cleland was the daughter of James Cleland and Isabel Kennedy.1 Margaret Cleland married Reverend Alexander Bruce, son of Robert Bruce and Agnes Murray, circa 1677.1 Margaret Cleland married Reverend Alexander Bruce, son of Robert Bruce and Agnes Murray, on 17 April 1677 at Edinburgh Parish, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2 Margaret Cleland died circa 1722 at Garlet, Scotland.      Her married name was Bruce.

James Cleland was the son of Gavin Cleland. James Cleland died at Edinburgh, Scotland. He was buried at Greyfriars Cemetery, Edinburgh, Scotland.       James Cleland studied the 'healin art' & in 1647 was admitted as a Fellow to the College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. He was elected President of the College in 1657. He is buried in Grey Frair's Churchyard, EDINBURGH. He was a MD.

Sir David Bruce was the son of Sir David Bruce and Marion Heries.1 Sir David Bruce married Jane Blackadder, daughter of Sir Patrick Blackadder, circa 1497.1 Sir David Bruce died circa 1550.       Sir David Bruce received Clackmannan from his father in 1497. The Great Seal reads 'MILES FILIUS ET HERES QUINDUM DAVIDI BRUCE de CLACKMANNAN MILITI.' His nephew, David Bruce, resigned his right to Clackmannan in favor of his uncle, 1 February 1506.
