Caleb Benton was the son of David Benton and Sarah Winchell.1 Caleb Benton was born on 2 January 1758 at Salisbury, Litchfield Co, Connecticut.1 He married Sarah Reonalds, daughter of David Reonalds, circa 1797.2,3 Caleb Benton died on 28 June 1825 at Catskill, Greene Co, New York, at age 67.1 He was buried at Old Cemetery, Catskill, Greene Co, New York.1      He was a medical doctor and land speculator.1 He performed military service on 7 July 1777 at Berkshire Co, Massachusetts, he is on the muster rolls as a sergeant in Captain John Spoor's company of Colonel John Ashley's regiment from Berkshire County, Massachusetts. During this time he marched from Kingsbury to Fort Ann.1 He ended military service on 28 July 1777.1 He performed military service on 19 September 1777 at Berkshire Co, Massachusetts, serving with the same regiment at the rank of quartermaster sargeant.1 He ended military service on 19 October 1777.1

Robert Vauquellin was born at Caen, France. He married Jeane (?). Robert Vauquellin died circa 1698 at New Jersey.       Robert was a Huguenot from Caen, France. On 10-Feb-1664 a constitution, 'The Concessions & Agreements of the Lords & Proprietors of NJ' was signed & on that day two commissions were issued, one to Philip Carteret to become the Govenor of NJ & one to Robert Vauquellin to be the surveyor of NJ. Robert & the new Govenor arrived on the ship Philip in Aug-1665. Robert continued to be actice in the affairs of NJ for many years. He was a Surveyor.

Humphrey Walrond was the son of Humphrey Walrond and Elizabeth Colles. Humphrey Walrond was born circa 1602 at Sea, Ilminster, Somerset, England.1 He married Grace Seamon, daughter of John Seamon, before 1623.1 Humphrey Walrond died circa 1688.       Colonel Walrond was a devot Royalist during the English Civil War. He was one of the hostages surrendered to Lord Fairfax at Bridgewater. His property was seized by Parliment. He was prisoner at the Gatehouse of Westminster. In 1645 he, his brother Edward and son George fled to Barbados. Shortly after arriving he was able to build up two plantations on prime land. Eventually bannished for his Royalist beliefs he went to Spain were he was made the Marquess of Vallado and received other titles. Eventually he returned to Barbados and then to England. He became the 1st Marquis of Vallado.1
