Mabell Dawson was the daughter of Anthony Dawson and Margaret (?).1 Mabell Dawson was born circa 1678.2 She married Francis Croome, son of Francis Croome and Mary (?), on 17 November 1698 at St. Michael, Barbados.1 Mabell Dawson died before 28 February 1713 at Bridgetown, St. Michael, Barbados.1      Her married name was Croome. She left a will on 13 April 1712 CROOME, Mabel, widow, of St. Michaels Town 13 Apr 1712, RB6/7, p.167 My son Francis Croome at 18; daus Eliza: Croome and Mary Croome both at 18 or marriage; son Richard Croome at 18; negros in the possession of my mo Margaret Dawson; bro in law Richard Croome, George Lyte, and my friend Capt. Richard Longcore was the son of Abraham Longcor.1 Richard Longcore was born circa 1766 at New York.2 He was born circa 1773 at Wantage, Sussex Co, New Jersey.1 He married Mary (?) before 1791. Richard Longcore died circa 1846 at Amity, Allegany Co, New York.2      He was also known as Richard Longcor.1 And Mary Longcore The parentage of Mary Longcore Sortore is not established yet. Richard Longcore is at this time only the best candidate. He lived very close to the Sortore family. His sister's daughter married the brother of Jonathan Sortore. The Sortore family was also in the habit of marying into a family more than once. Because of this it is felt that Richard is the father of Mary, but until documentary evidence is found it is not to be considered factual. In 1997.
