Come and enjoy 24,000 private, secluded acres nestled along the scenic and historic Powder River. Pitch right in with the daily activities of everyday ranch living or just enjoy horseback riding and sight-seeing along the river or in the hills. Bring your camera and enjoy wildlife photography at its best, or simply kick back and enjoy the peace and quiet of our working ranch.

Have your own horse? We welcome you to bring your horses and let them enjoy the true ranch experience with you!

Ranch activities vary from observing, to working with cattle during the calving, branding, weaning and shipping. Join in on the daily checking of water, cattle and fences. Cattle drives are available throughout the summer.

Vacations could also include an overnight trip to a secluded log cabin nestled deep in the hills.

The overnight trip takes you through the beautiful back country. The tree lined river bottom, the cedar covered draws and sagebrush covered prairies provide year round habitat for an abundance of varied wildlife. Whitetail deer, mule deer and antelope flourish in this area, along with a wide variety of small game. This varied country is ideal for the wildlife photographer.

This log cabin nestled deep in the hills gives you a taste of the rustic west, with a few of the comforts of home. It is comfortably heated by a wood stove and has the luxury of running water. So, after a full day of riding, enjoy a nice hot shower before you bed down. Gentle, dependable horses and tack will be provided. If you prefer to bring you own horses, boarding facilities are also available.

Powder River Experiences offers a quiet, country atmosphere that is an ideal setting for family reunions and wedding receptions. The main ranch house and it's spacious shaded lawn, are just perfect for any large gathering of friends and family.

Two privately situated, furnished guest houses await your arrival. Family style meals are served in the original ranch home which was sent West by railroad and built in 1918. It's two large outside decks overlook lush hay meadows and the Powder River, providing a relaxing atmosphere for dining or visiting. Get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, come and enjoy the peace and quiet and the fresh air of this remote part of Wyoming. We specialize in customizing your vacation.
